Join Open Space Therapy Collective (OSTC) and an incredible team of LGBTQ+ organizations, space-makers and wellness practitioners as we create an experience of true queer connection for our LA community. Our community needs you. Needs US.
Sunday, March 22nd 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Sunset Triangle Plaza in Silver Lake.
We cannot thrive in isolation. Expand queer joy and pull back the curtain on holistic mental health as we bring together professionals from all walks of wellness and LGBTQ+ community building to connect, create, and thrive together. Community – at every level– means bringing together a diverse group of queer people to support one another.
This event is for LGBTQ+ space makers, wellness providers, and organizations to connect with their queer community. Event Details here!

This is a Free and Inclusive Event for Our LGBTQ+, BIPOC, & (im) Migrant Community
What does this mean?
We’re looking for 40 organizations, space makers, and practitioners to host tables throughout the event. Each host will share information about their work and offer an engagement activity for attendees.
Who are we looking for, you ask? Great question! LGBTQ+ wellness is holistic—we need community care just as much as one-on-one care. This event is about connection and resource-sharing. While you’re welcome to sell items, you don’t need to have something for sale in order to host a table.

If you are providing a space for LGBTQ+ people can grow and/or come together, we are looking for you!
What is an engagement activity?
This is an activity that highlights your business by giving attendees a chance to experience what it’s like to work with you.
For example:
If you are an acupuncturist, bring ear beads to demonstrate how they can be used.
If you have an LGBTQ clothing line, provide all-body and all-gender clothing for people to try on so they can experience what it feels like to wear your designs.
If you are an event producer, what is the core activity of your events (eg. face painting, dance props, art making)
This was the most positive feedback we received from attendees after our fall event—they loved the temporary tattoos, letter writing, vocal exercises, and especially the chance to engage with you!
Be creative! All ideas are welcome, and attendees want to get to know you!

Video, photos, and email sign-ups from the event
What is expected of me?
A phone call with our team to coordinate prior to the event.
Promote the event in collaboration with OSTC on social media at least twice prior to the event, once during the event, and once following the event. The OSTC team will facilitate this for you.
Send the event invitation to your LGBTQ+ community and mailing list.
Event set-up is at Nonn, and the event starts at 1:00 PM.
Bring a table, chair(s), promotional materials, and supplies for your engagement activity. If you need a table, chair please let us know and we’ll see if we can accommodate.
Host your table and activity for the FULL event duration from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (and clean up your area afterward).
Optional: bring items or gift certificates for a raffle that will occur during the event.
Want to Provide a Workshop?
Queerly Connected is opening space for 3 workshop facilitators to bring their brilliance to the community! Alongside the main event, 3 practitioners or space makers will have the opportunity to lead a 30-minute workshop, offering attendees space for deeper connection and impact.
If you’re a practitioner, organization, or space maker who wants to share your gifts, we’d love for you to apply!

Venmo a $65 participation fee to help cover event costs to @open-space-therapy-collective
Note: To align with OSTC’s mission to provide accessible holistic mental health services to our community this is a free event to the community and OSTC does not make a profit from these events.
Additional $35 to host a workshop.
If you want to sponsor the event for additional marketing exposure, include that in your application and our team will help curate that with you.
