Meet Our California Therapists
-

Renae Johnson (they/them)
Founder & Executive Director
Licensed Therapist - LPCC
Board Certified Art TherapistWith over 15 years as a therapist and non-profit leader, Renae founded OSTC to be unapologetically affirming, deeply inclusive, and centered on the unique needs of queer and trans folks, because queer-informed care isn't an add-on here, it's the foundation. That commitment shapes how the whole team hires, trains, and shows up, so clients see themselves reflected in the people supporting them. Renae also stays rooted in the broader community as a board member of the LA Queer Coalition and through OSTC's own Queerly Connected events, carrying that same intention and care beyond the therapy room
Renae is not taking therapy clients at this time.

How to Get Started:
1. Schedule a free 15-minute intro call:
You can easily book directly through our website with any of our available queer-informed therapists. Choose a therapist who fits your schedule or check out our Meet Our Team page to find the best match for your needs. If you're not sure who to pick, try booking multiple intro calls.
2. Learn About Therapy with OSTC:
We believe in being upfront, so all our session fees are clearly listed on our Meet Our Team page. If you have out-of-network benefits, you can use our Insurance Benefits Checker to see if you're eligible for reimbursement. If you have any other questions, check out our FAQ page.
3. Chat with your therapist over the phone:
Your free 15-minute intro call is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. They'll want to hear about your experiences and why you're seeking therapy, and you can ask about their approach and style. While we only hire skilled queer-informed therapists, it's important to make sure their style and personality click with you.
4. Start your therapy journey:
After the intro call, your therapist will help you book ongoing sessions that work for you. We offer in-person therapy at our Silver Lake office and virtual therapy sessions throughout California.
In-person and virtual therapy for LGBTQ+ Adults, Couples, ENM Partners, & Teens.
If you are located in Los Angeles, our office are conveniently in the Silver Lake neighborhood.
If you are outside of the Los Angeles area, or just don’t want to drive. We offer telehealth sessions through out California.
OSTC is a LGBTQ+ therapy collective, where you never need to educate your therapist on who you are.
